After 17 years officially, 18 years unofficially, I’m stepping down as the President of STOKED as of today, February 1 and transitioning to the Board of Directors. I’m so honored to have founded and led this organization for so many years. We’ve helped over 6,000 kids from historically forgotten communities be introduced to action sports, engaged 4,000 mentors, and expanded to three cities.
In my place, we’ve hired Dr. Patricia Charlemagne or “Pat” as my successor, who’s been with the organization since October as the Executive Director. She’s a seasoned nonprofit executive with an amazing track record. She’s also an attorney and just received her doctorate in education and organization leadership from the University of Pennsylvania.
