WHAT WE DO
STOKED SKATE
MIDDLE SCHOOL PROGRAM (GRADES 6-8)
STOKED SKATE Middle School program includes skateboard instruction and project-based activities including STEM and SEL curriculum and multimedia art lessons related to action sports culture. Students learn parts of the skateboard, skateboard assembly, skate etiquette, and basic skate skills. In addition, students will design and facilitate community service projects.
If you’re a school or community organization, please fill out our Community Partnership Application to nominate your school or site. Not in NY, LA, or Chicago? That’s cool too, we’re always looking to expand.
STOKED BOARD + BRAND BUILD
HIGH SCHOOL PROGRAMS (GRADES 9-12)
The STOKED BOARD BUILD Program builds student confidence and self expression, developing essential life skills including patience, time management, creativity, teamwork and determination. Throughout the year, students learn to skate while working together glue, mold, sand, scrape, design and paint their very own skateboard deck.
STOKED BRAND BUILD students use Stanford’s Design Thinking Principles to work with their local community create a social impact brand. With the support of industry professionals and coaches, a group of students works on interpersonal skills, public speaking, empathy, financial literacy, responsible decision making, interviewing, and design to create a brand that positively impacts their community.
Both of these programs can be adapted to in-school programs and follow STEM/ SEL standards. If you’re a school or community organization, please fill out our Community Partnership Application to nominate your school or site.
STOKED CAREER PIPELINE
PROGRAM FOR AGES 17-24
The STOKED Pipeline prepares young adults for careers in the action sports industry and beyond. This leadership development program provides students with the tools they need to successfully and confidently enter the workforce, and connects them with the right people to get there. In addition to career development workshops, each student is paired with a mentor in their career field of choice to goal-set and network within the industry.
WEEKEND PROGRAMS
SURFING, SNOWBOARDING AND SKATEBOARDING
Any high school student involved in after school programming is welcome to join a community of exceptional mentors into the waves, streets and slopes to learn how to surf, swim, skate and snowboard. We also do seasonal community service projects such as street and beach cleanups, mural painting, tree planting, and programs for younger kids.
